Buy to settle
From the first sack of rice to a zero balance.
Credit is written in a shop ledger that gets lost, and households dispute balances that were never read back to them.

Each account is a line of purchases and payments with a running balance, which the household can read on the shop slip.
- Buy The household buys on credit and the purchase is logged.
- Pay A payment is written against the account.
- Slip The balance is read back on the slip.
- Settle The account closes when the balance is zero.
